Hemostat Gauze

I like to keep all types of gauze in my first aid kit and these are small enough that barely take up space. I’m assuming they’re compressed and expand as they absorb liquid such as blood.

These hemostatic gauzes are great to have on hand in our first aid kit. They are individually packaged. The gauzes are effective for stopping bleeding. They are easy to use, and very useful for emergencies.

This rapid bleeding control gauze is very convenient to use and a must-have for any home. I keep one saved in our family medical box for emergency use, just in case of accidents or unexpected injuries. My parents are over 80 and their skin gets injured with very little force. It is good to have this gauze handy. It has a long shelf life of 3 years, so I don’t have to worry about it expiring anytime soon. Definitely a practical addition to any first aid kit! Good value.

I haven’t had to use these, which is obviously a good thing but it’s certainly nice to have them on hand in an emergency. I’ll keep a couple in the car’s first aid kit as well as the kit we keep in the house. They seem a little expensive but in a pinch you’ll be glad to have one handy.

Upon opening the gauze I immediately noticed how different feeling it is from your cheaper dollar store "gauze". This has a tougher feel to it while still feeling fine for applying against skin. I'm not a medical expert, but being a pretty outdoorsy person I have gone through quite a few pieces of gauze for the many slipups either my friends or myself have experienced and this feels like a good product. It doesn't feel like it will break apart on you when applying and it doesn't seem to leave behind lots of fibers and bits like cheaper gauzes do. It also rips in a straight line very nicely in the event that you don't need to use an entire strip, or you want to allocate some of the strip to another puncture or wound area.

As you can probably tell from the price point these are meant to be higher end items and used for more serious bleeding situations, and while I haven't tested it in a real event yet, I can say that it seems like it will do the job quite well if/when we need it.
